The Curlew

The Curlew was influenced by the experiences of the owners at the table together with their loved ones where they would shared the food, laughed loudly, while enjoying wines and beer. They decided to build The Curlew to create a space to match their experiences they were so fond of. Diners are urged to order for the table, try a little bit of everything, and focus on celebrating nothing in particular.

Where is The Curlew located?

The Curlew is an old coaching inn with a White Clapboard façade and views of the fields. The Curlew is situated in the Sussex rural picture-postcard countryside.

What cuisine is on offer at The Curlew?

Inspired by the rural location of Curlew, the menu offers simple, seasonal, small dishes from both land and sea, just 10 miles from the South Coast. The focus of the food is firmly in the modern British camp with an emphasis on good local produce. Every few weeks the menu changes as the chefs prefer to cook with the ingredients and produce from the farm and from their suppliers as they become available to ensure that quality is guaranteed.

What makes a meal at The Curlew unique?

All of the produce used at The Curlew is sourced hyper-locally from the best farmers, fishermen, wineries and breweries. The menus respect the season, and all butchering,  pickling, baking, preserving, and curing is done on site.
