Heacham also boasts one of the few beaches in the East of England where the sun sets over the sea; rather than land, bathing the sea in breath-taking golden light. Heacham Manor Hotel itself is a beautiful Elizabethan Manor House, with a rich and varied history, and was once home of legendary cricketer Bill Edrich. It is also rumoured the 400-year-old mulberry tree; of which the restaurant is named after, in the gardens was planted by Pocahontas.
