The home of the Ferrers family for some 500 years, the house and interiors of Baddesley Clinton reflect its Elizabethan heyday when it was a haven for persecuted Catholics. Open around the year, this is a step back in time and the guides are excellent ambassadors for the attraction, full of interesting information about the house and its history. The house and garden has a variety of wonderful features, look out for the kitchen garden, the moat, the stewponds and the pretty lake and nature walk. Finish your visit in the tea rooms which serve home-made lunches and cakes and the very eclectic gift shop.
