Held to promote seaweed for its immense health and nutritional benefits.  Quay kitchens will be serving a variety of dishes, and stalls will be selling a range of seaweed products and arts and crafts.  Plus live music, craft activities and workshops, talks and demonstrations and street entertainments.  Bring your own seaweed for advice from experts on its uses.

Join Vanessa for a garden walk when she will show you the highlights of the garden in August. This will be an informal tour with the garden owner, Vanessa who will provide you with plenty of tips on the best plants to grow to give you beautiful borders throughout the year. You will also learn how the garden is managed for wildlife and Vanessa will highlight some of the many ways she has blended stunning planting with being wildlife-friendly.

The walk is included in the garden admission for the afternoon, but is on a first-come-first-served basis. There will only be 12 places, so make sure you get on the list when you arrive at the hut!

Start is at 2:00pm prompt and will last about an hour, so plenty of time afterwards for refreshments and a visit to the plant nursery.

Colchester Zoo Summer Celebrations are set to be sizzling!

Keep the kids entertained this summer by visiting throughout the school holidays. 

You can also enjoy more for your money on 10th & 24th August 2024 with a later closing time!

This popular summer show includes livestock, cattle and sheep, craft and trade stalls, horse and pony competitions, a dairy marquee with yoghurt/ice cream making, ‘milk a cow’, competitions, a fast and furious inter hunt relay, bustling trade stalls, a bouncy castle and a parade of vintage machinery to finish the day.

On Saturday there will be a 2-mile sponsored sea swim from Bucks Mills to Clovelly.  Sunday is a day full of family fun and action with games and entertainments, competitions, food and drink, music and lifeboat operational displays.  The Lifeboat House will be open and there will be an exciting rescue display in the afternoon by Clovelly’s volunteer lifeboat crew.  So come along, you will enjoy it.
