Our events calendar here at Wivenhoe House is never short of special events to keep you entertained. From live shows to comedy nights, there’s always something to look forward to in Colchester.

Bring a bag of apples, have them pressed at the Visitor Centre, taste the juice, or bring more for pasteurisation and bottling.  On entry to Clovelly, children can enjoy apple games and crafts, apple bobbing and stamping.  There’ll be a farmers market plus a fun harvest hunt with spooky stories, for which you need to pre-book your place.

Boxing Day Barbecue should make the perfect follow-up to Christmas day for all your family and friends. With FREE entrance to Clovelly village all day, take a walk along the estate or explore the village in the morning.  Then come on down to the quay to enjoy a lunch barbecue starting at midday with live music running from 1pm to 3 pm.

The Red Lion serves some great mulled cider and delicious, hot chocolate drinks.

There will be a Land Rover available to take you back up if you do not wish to walk.

Dance the night away with our fantastic 80s themed disco - fancy dress is optional!   The 80s Christmas Party Disco night will take you back to the days of disco, with all the glitz and glamour associated with disco fashion and culture and includes a video disco. So put on your dancing shoes and get ready to spin right round with some classic tunes...
