Our events calendar here at Wivenhoe House is never short of special events to keep you entertained. From live shows to comedy nights, there’s always something to look forward to in Colchester.

A fantastic New Year’s Party will be taking place for both resident and non-resident guests.  You will find it a thrilling way to welcome in the New Year in an atmospheric village setting.

SATURDAY 30TH DECEMBER
Light afternoon tea will be served in the lounges accompanied by Shelley van Loen and the Palm Court Strings. In the evening, you are invited to the Managers’ Champagne Reception, which will be followed by dinner and live music from the Simon Goodwin Band.

SUNDAY 31ST DECEMBER
During the afternoon the Family Quiz of 2023 will take place in the lounges. For a chance to win a 2-night stay during 2024 at The Grand Hotel.

There will be family activities available during the day including snooker, table tennis, board games or why not book in advance Eastbourne’s fantastic Ice Rink.

Pamper yourself and visit the Health Club for either a swim or treatment before seeing in the New Year.

The evening commences with a Champagne Reception before a sumptuous Gala Dinner in the Garden Restaurant, with the fabulous Co-Stars and Simon Goodwin Band’s.

This is a black tie event. Champagne is served at midnight to toast in the New Year with your friends and family.

Enjoy morning Brunch and a very leisurely departure to complete the perfect start to the New Year.

From 7pm you and the whole family are invited to a Champagne Reception followed by a magnificent four course Gala Dinner in the opulent Devonshire Ballroom. Dance the New Year in with the ‘One Night Band’ with Champagne at midnight. Jacket and tie required.
