Hoveton Hall Gardens

Hoveton Hall Estate, Hoveton, Norwich, Norfolk, NR12 8RJ

Regency classic Hoveton Hall, designed by Repton, sits amid 120 acres of gardens and parkland and a further 450 acres of arable land in Hoveton, Norwich. The estate is family-owned and run and there’s a wonderful friendly atmosphere about the place. The grounds, with their many statues dotted around, have immaculately kept gardens including a lovely walled garden – in summer this place is a haven for birds, butterflies and bees and the perfect spot for a lazy picnic. In spring expect carpets of daffodils and snowdrops while a glorious mass of spectacular colour from the rhododendrons and azaleas appears in May and June. In July and August you'll see the more formal herbaceous and kitchen gardens flourish. To keep little ones amused, there is a children's activity trail. Look out for the recently restored rare 19th century glasshouse and ask about guided tours of the gardens. The tearooms are also very popular, providing good children’s lunch boxes, and the plant sale area is there for a spot of retail therapy once you’ve drawn inspiration from the gardens.

Hoveton Hall Gardens also has a Bed & Breakfast:
