Wellington Arms is a homely pub restaurant which serves good, honest, local food executed with understated finesse. Owners Simon Page and Jason King are living the good life keeping chickens, bees and even pigs on the premises and tending to fruit trees and their veg patch. Homemade honey from pub's very own bees and fresh eggs collected from the chickens are sold at the bar. The interior resembles your gran's living room with exquisite, solid Edwardian furniture, hand knitted tea cosies, cosy low ceilings and original brick fireplaces. Try the fine duck liver and organic port parfait with the bar's own pickled cauliflower and char-grilled toast followed by the roast rack of home reared lamb with bashed carrots and parnsips and homemade crab apple jelly.
