Deep grey banquettes, exposed brickwork and low key lighting make this intimate dining room in the stylish Drakes boutique hotel perfect for dinner a deux or special celebrations. Chef Andrew Mackenzie has trained with the likes of culinary legend Nico Ladenis and his assured Fine dining menus are deserving of the many accolades achieved and high praise earned. As a sample of what is in store, menus include dishes such as seasonal Whole roast Partridge with Enner Wheat, Roast Pear, tender stem Broccoli or Loin of English Cod, with Roast Salsify, Razor Clams, Bacon and Beurre Blanc. For a true taste of McKenzie's style, try the 5 course Chef's Tasting Menu that might end with his rather wonderful signature Soufflés (Praline with Kentish Cobnuts this winter) or Trio of Chocolate with Brandy ice-cream Mackenzie's style. Arrive early for one of drakes famous Cocktails (try their rather potent version of 'Porn Star Martini') which can be enjoyed in the very slick sea front Bar.
