I recently celebrated my birthday here and it never fails to impress. The whole experience lives up to extremely high expectations. From the initial warm greeting by friendly staff you know that you are going to be looked after. Two of the party had special dietary preferences and these were catered for unobtrusively and thoughtfully. The food, as always, was superb. The selection of food was seasonal and every course created a treat for the eyes as well as tickling all the taste buds. I chose the Cornish crab salad which can definitely be recommended and that was followed by Mallard duck. It was wonderful. The other meat dishes and fish dishes on offer were equally wonderful. I just love this place. It is pricey but you expect that. What I love is the feeling of comfort and ease one experiences at Le Manoir. If you are looking for the fine dining experience without the stuffiness of some establishments (and I have experienced several of those) definitely visit this one.

We went for dinner. I knew of the Belmond group from Fiesole, Italy, and Charleston, SC, but this was quite an event. First, we sat in a sitting room a half hour prior to dinner. There we had a drink and lovely little canapés were presented. Then to dinner which was wonderful. The decor and service are superb. For a special occasion do try it. It would have been great to have spent a night here but booked elsewhere.

Had the most fabulous lunch at this wonderful restaurant, starting with aperitifs in the garden. We decide on the tasting menu and every course was a taste sensation. Service was superb yet friendly. Ended our experience with a stroll around the stunning gardens.

We dined here for our anniversary and we were blown away by the service, food, wine list and atmosphere!! Expensive but 2 Michelin get what you pay for!! Don't forget dessert!! It wasn't just an anniversary meal, it was a dining experience!! Absolutely incredible!!!!!!

Our evening began on the terrace at le Manoir with Campari soda and some delicious canapes surrounded by delightful displays of lavender.

We chose the 7 course taster menu accompanied by a bottle of Sancerre and were seated in the conservatory at our favourite table 30

To begin

Chilled gazpacho, cherry tomato and olives - Cool and very tasty

Tartare of beef, oyster leaves, horseradish – Wow I could taste Oysters, never eaten oyster leaves before and the horseradish quite hot

Ricotta and honey agnolotti, fresh tomato essence – Delicious raviolis filled with ricotta- the sauce was excellent!

Braised fillet of Cornish turbot, scallop, lemongrass braisage- delightful and delicate

Roasted spiced Norfolk quail, courgette flower, cinnamon and date- Excellent flavours – by now I was flagging, serves me right for having Le manoir’s two bread rolls, pecan and bacon at the beginning!

Seasonal strawberries with avocado, coconut and lime foam- A mixture of wonderful tastes

Manjari chocolate crumble, raspberry and beetroot sorbet-Enchanting with gold leaf on the chocolate

Each course was well timed; the staff where unhurried yet attentive

Well RB you did not disappoint, over the years my wife and I have enjoyed eating at Le Manoir, actually since 1984. You always surprise us with new menus and tastes

If you want a truly 'out of this world' experience then book here. The staff were what made this place so different. they were so professional, polite, cheerful and pampered us constantly making sure we were happy.The food was the best I have ever tasted (we had the 7 course taster menu and could not find fault with anything) the breakfast the next day was also totally unique and special in not only its presentation but its flavours. Everything about the place was so different from normal hotels and the whole experience will stay with us forever.

I decided to treat my wife to lunch for her 65th birthday. We were warmly greeted and shown to the lounge to have drinks and canapés. Both of these were delicious. Almost as soon as we had finished our gin and tonics we were whisked to the dining room where the menus were explained to us along with the wine flight. Then the food started arriving. Everything we ate was not only delicious but beautifully presented. After lunch we retired to the lounge for a specialty cocktail and then coffee with petit fours.
The whole experience was way above expectations and the team made the experience feel, although expensive, good value for money.

I love this place. We often go back. The food is outstanding, the service superb the grounds are magnificent. Highly recommend visiting there it's outstanding. Totally relaxing and one really feels at home from the moment you arrive to your departure.

Loved the whole experience. We did the dinner bed and breakfast experience and were not disappointed. Food exceptional. Staff superb and we felt comfortable and at ease to enjoy the surroundings and food. Gorgeous kitchen garden worth a visit alone. Hope to come again

Brought my son as a special treat.

Love this place - what really makes it is the service. We had amazing weather, lovely to sit in the garden while placing our order.

We didn't think we could manage the wine "flight" - 4 x 125ml glasses, too much for me! - but we started with a glass of the Stopham Pinot Blanc from the flight and it was glorious.

I loved the food, particularly the gazpacho. If you are happy to eat off the set menu it is surprisingly good value - but being picky, they accommodated some changes for us.

Will absolutely come here again, when the occasion warrants.

We enjoyed a fantastic 5 course lunch for my husband's 40th birthday. It was a beautiful sunny day which really made the whole experience even more special. We sat outside before lunch to enjoy a drink and look through the menu. The service was exemplary and the lunch itself was excellent. After lunch, we sat back outside to enjoy a coffee before taking a walk round the grounds. Yes, it was the most expensive lunch that I have ever had and I was a little shocked at £15 for a glass of Pimms however the venue, food and customer service certainly exceeded our expectations. We would love to visit again in the future for another special occasion.

To my great surprise I was able too get a late booking for Sunday lunch for my wife & I this was our third visit here & without a shadow of a doubt it's the best place I've ever eaten !!!!!! Not only the food but the whole dining experience from start to finish the service again the best I've ever had anywhere the staff are superb I can't give it enough praise it's not cheap but the cost is more than justified this is one place where I'd say too any one put it on the top of your to do list !!!!!

My wife and I thought to try lunch rather than dinner (we attended once before for dinner), it was our wedding anniversary so we wanted something "special". We opted for the "taster menu" which did not disappoint and was certainly sufficient for the time of day - good value at £82 each as the quality was second to none. The wine was very good but stretched our budget a little (the range starts at £55/bottle) but for that "special" occasion then why not. The staff were very professional AND genuinely friendly with the wine waiter being very knowledgeable and helpful. The day we visited was sunny and warm so we retired the the gardens after lunch for tea and more wine - the gardens are beautiful and show the wide variety of fresh produce grown "on site". From start to finish we were there over four hours and spent less than £300 for a day to remember (Heston Blumenthal and his guest were also dining in the garden which was nice - that's how good the quality is!). TIP - there is valet parking so make sure your car is reasonably clean and tidy!

Fantastic and awesome experience. Fine dining at its best. Lovely ambience and attentive staff. Nothing is too much trouble. 2 Michelin stars site 1985 and still has them. Exquisite!

Naturally an amazing French-influenced menu made for difficult choosing. We settled on the 5 course tasting menu wishing with every mouthful that the dish wouldn't end. The restaurant will cater for all allergies and all portions were generous in size. Dinner was washed down with an excellent Ruinart and Margaux selected by the sommelier, making the meal an unforgettable experience.

The team are one big family who are dedicated to making your experience memorable. We had a small problem on our first visit in the lounge and once we made it known management went above and beyond to rectify the issue including a call from the GM. The restaurant team are just flawless and masterful, they are the top of the industry and I think they will remain there for a very long time.

Raymond Blanc has created an Eden in the heart of England. I am in awe of this place and its culinary artistry.

This is the second time I have dined here and it did not disappoint. It was my father in laws 70th birthday.

We were greeted at the entrance by the excellent staff and escorted to the lounge for champagne and pre-lunch drinks. The waiter and sommelier were informative as ever and could not do anymore for you. They really make you feel special here.

After relaxing and being made to feel extremely welcome, we were led to our table which was the same table as we dined at previously.

The starters, the mains and the deserts were French cuisine at its best. The artistry on display is quite something with the food looking and tasting stunning. The wine was also perfectly matched with the main courses we ordered. Not that I know too much about it……

After desert, the waiter emerged with a surprise special desert (with candle) for my father-in-law singing happy birthday. The entire restaurant joined in which was nice.

This restaurant really is something attending to every detail that a perfect restaurant should be like.

Even the gardens are beautiful. In the summer, you can just sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the view.

Surely 3 Michelin Stars....

Our second visit this year to Le Manoir; this time with family celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were taken aback by the whole experience. The grounds are stunning, the service flawless and the food and presentation exceptional. Taster menu was the obvious choice - inventive with wonderful flavours and textures. Just as good as our first visit.

Without doubt, this is our favourite restaurant.

Really nothing more to say. Simply sublime !

Fantastic dining experience! Stunning setting with beautiful gardens so make sure you take time to wonder around them before you dine. Food, service and everything you come to expect from a quality restaurant were spot on. We had the five course menu and everything included was exceptional.
Every member of staff we encountered not only provided brilliant service but were also extremely friendly.
Our high expectations before we visited were definitely met!

Wow! We were lucky to have gotten reservations for lunch even at 2:15p in the afternoon! Staff was very professional and attentive. The 5 course lunch was elegant and quite proper. To say that everything served would be an understatement! Afterwards, we strolled in the extensive gardens. Such a treat!

This was a treat for my 60th Birthday, for me a once in a lifetime experience and I was not disappointed. The setting is delightful, we arrived a bit later than I would have liked and so were unable to take too long exploring the gardens as the light was fading.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive and welcoming in an unassuming manner. We were shown to the lounge for pre-dinner drinks and canapes, where we were given the menu options for our evening.

We choose the 7 course taster menu with the wine accompaniment . We didn't have to wait very long before we were shown to our table. The ambience and decor in the dining room was lovely.

The menu, Pumpkin & butternut squash soup ... Cornish crab salad ... Free range egg with mushroom tea ... Roasted monkfish ... Roasted Goosnargh duck with warm blackberries ... Exotic fruit ravioli ... Manjari chocolate crumble with raspberry and beetroot sorbet. Five wines to complement the dishes. At each serving the waiter explained the dish and the sommelier explained the wine and how it had been chosen to match the food. All of the dishes were beautifully executed, we had fresh bread offered throughout the early courses, a bread lovers delight. For me the Pumpkin soup, the Duck and the Manjari chocolate crumble were the outstanding courses. From the wines, the Riesling (for plate 1 & 2) and the red dessert wine (plate 6 & 7) were exceptional.

Overall excellent food and service; the staff went that extra mile with felicitations for my birthday from several of them, sadly we didn't stay overnight I've no doubt the hotel is excellent too. This is an establishment that has an eye for detail.

My partner and I work together and have just achieved a milestone in our history and we had wanted to visit Le Manoir for a second time, since lunching there some 8 years ago, when we enjoyed a chat over lunch with Raymond Blanc himself.

We were excited to arrive at Le Manoir and had brought our new camera to photograph the beautiful grounds and heritage vegetable garden. Le Manoir now has a successful gardening team and we walked round the green houses and growing areas reading about the Heritage vegetables and herbs and their plans to grow rare and valuable plants from years past. There were several pumpkins recently harvested in the green house with labels detailing that they had been grown from 150 year old strains of seeds. We established that the pumpkins had been harvested for the soupe de poitron served on the October menu: les saveurs d'octobre, which was seasonally planned: pumpkin and butternut soup; grilled mackerel; poached egg served in watercress sauce; roasted chicken; millionaires shortbread. We hadn't selected the wine menu but other tables enjoyed a different wine for each dish served by a knowledgeable sommelier.

Each and every dish was served in a specialist presentation, with various plates, glasses and side platters to embellish the presentation and to enhance the experience.

Words cannot describe the excellence of the dining experience. We had requested our original table looking over the garden and from the serving of the bread basket with its 8 choices of freshly cooked rolls and breads, we were delighted to be back.

We had selected the 5 course menu and chose an extra course of cheeses, which arrived on its own trolley with French and British cheeses, complemented by home made chutneys and fresh celery.

Our waiter was helpful and very well trained and he explained how different dishes had been cooked. The mackerel and the chicken had been presented in such a delicious and tender presentation with incredible accompanying flavours, garnishes and seasoning.

The pre lunch drinks were served with delicious canapes and the coffees were served with petit fours. We ate every last one, the choices were delectable and yes we hope to return again soon to sample another one of the seasonal menus.

We had the five course tasting menu for lunch and enjoyed everything. The first course of pumpkin soup was my personal favourite. I also really enjoyed the vegetables served with the venison. Who knew that broccoli could taste so good! It was a mistake to add in a cheese course, not because the cheese wasn't fantastic but because I ate too much and was unable to finish my dessert. My husband opted to have the accompanying wines and pronounced them excellent, especially the Greek dessert wine. The service from every member of staff was faultless. Make sure you have enough time to walk around the beautiful gardens. It was a wonderful experience, expensive but worth it
