Overview

Our warm and intimate Butlers Restaurant, famously the home of "the best Dover Sole in London", offers elegant dining matched by first class service. As popular with local residents as it is with hotel guests, the fresh English cuisine tempered with international touches of Nathan Hindmarsh is an example of understated excellence in the heart of London's most exclusive district. Using only the freshest carefully sourced ingredients, Nathan also serves a selection of the comfort foods we all crave from time to time - which guests find most welcome after a busy day exploring all that London has to offer. The menus range from a wonderful Breakfast Menu, Lunch Menu, and À La Carte Menu, plus an ever popular Pre-theatre Dinner option for those pushed for time before the curtain goes up.

Reviews

We were very excited as it was our first time to dine in a restaurant with our puppy. When we arrived our table was prepared nicely with a seat next to our table for the puppy. A dog bed was also provided which made him feel at home and relaxed. The staff was very polite and friendly. The food and cocktails were delicious. We had the pan seared Orkney king scallops, saddle of Salisbury venison and Fridays specialty the Scottish salmon en croute. Our little puppy had chicken and rice with carrots and he enjoyed it very much. We will definitely come back again.

This is one of the Restaurant which I really enjoy and love! With Pianist in the background can't fault the atmosphere or the staff who will accommodate everything to make the customer happy! This Restaurant should get an award for customer service. Food, it's always different, the menu changes seasonally so there is the reason you can't get bored of the place! I would recommend eating from the trolley but always keep on the lookout for great dishes.

We were celebrating our anniversary. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable and the food was very good. We used an Open Table offer which gave us a reasonable choice of the menu and included a glass of Lanson and all the desserts. The food and wine we chose was very nice and the ambiance was relaxed, quiet for a Saturday night but we liked that.

Sophisticated traditional English dinning room. The staff was skilled, polite and professional. The Dover Sole was especially tasty. Also their rendition of fish and chips was outstanding. Great spot for an intimate dinner.

Quite classic atmosphere with superb selection of breakfast options. From the extensive menu to the buffet, you will not leave wanting. The staff is incredible, efficient, yet not hovering.

The food was very good. We ate breakfasts and one dinner here. The waiters and waitresses were attentive.
