Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa is part of the following Inspirations:
"If you’re happy to drain the kids’ piggy banks to avoid skimping on luxury, then head to this five-star country house in the New Forest. “Fun for all”: that’s the motto at Chewton Glen, and they’ve come good on this promise. The Deluxe Rooms are made for sprawling families, and if you’re feeling extra fancy book a treehouse suite where the little ones are spoiled rotten – they even get their own mini-bathrobes and slippers.
During the summer holidays, Chewton Glen runs the Beehive Club every weekend. It’s a wooded fantasy-like den on their magnificent grounds, where children get to embark on treasure hunts, paint their next masterpiece or hunker down in the reading nook, which looks out on a 360°balcony. It’s all supervised fun, both mornings and afternoons. There are also kids cookery classes by celebrity chef James Martin – but be quick, places go like hotcakes.
There’s plenty for adults to enjoy, too. Plates of delicious homegrown food are made with produce from the estate, and a luxury spa awaits to ease your tired limbs and minds. And family fun and games? Grab a mallet (there are mini ones for the children) and partake in a croquet session or a round of golf on the putting green. Animal lovers may like to hitch a pony ride and explore the 130-acre grounds. If that doesn’t satisfy the most demanding tykes, then don’t fear! Peppa Pig World is just a short drive away."
"Who doesn’t want to spend the night in a posh treehouse? Chewton Glen is rightly renowned for its dedication to luxury (think country house, snooker-table-smooth lawns, world-class spa and award-winning restaurant) but it goes the extra mile with its 14 contemporary treehouse suites that sit on stilts up in the tree canopy. Unpack, grab a beer and drink in the scenery and your beverage from your hardwood private deck then retreat inside to chat long into the night by your wood burning stove as you view the forest through the floor to ceiling windows. Can’t be bothered to walk to the main hotel for breakfast? No problem, an electric buggy will ferry you back and forth..."
"On the edge of the New Forest National Park, this esteemed Relais & Chateaux property offers a traditional British coastal break amidst luxurious surrounds. For a room with a difference try their relaxing treehouse suites, and relax on your treetop private balcony above it all. This family-friendly hotel offers a range of activities, from beach picnics and kids croquet to mountain biking and kite flying. Alternatively, take in the stunning surroundings on four legs and book in for one of their great pony treks."
"Set in 130 acres on the edge of the New Forest, just a short stroll from the sea, Chewton Glen’s location alone is deserving of accolades aplenty. Add legendary service (the hotel’s promise is to consistently “wow” its guests); divine food and accommodation, and a world class spa and it’s no wonder that this multi-award winning hotel is considered one of the UK’s finest. Last summer Chewton Glen raised the bar even further, with the launch of its truly extraordinary Treehouse suites. Forget glamping: this is modern architecture meets nature at its most harmonious, beautiful best. 5-star facilities, vast picture windows and wrap around balconies with hot tubs ensure a stay here is like no other. Breakfast is delivered by hamper each morning and, if you really don’t feel like moving (and who would?) spa therapists will come to you, too. I defy anyone not to want to move in permanently. Wow indeed."
"Although built in the early eighteenth century, Chewton Glen wrote itself into the history books during the 1840s when Captain Frederick Marryat came to stay here. George Marryat had bought Chewton in 1837 and the house was a good place for his brother Frederick to work on his novel The Children of the New Forest, which was published in 1847. Today visitors can arrive at Chewton Glen through that very same forest."
"The Relais & Chateaux hotel oozes luxury, and prides itself on its excellent service. Benefit from everything the hotel has to offer but for a really intimate break, stay in one of their tree house suites, on stilts high among the trees. Relax in situ with a 90-minute couples hot oil treatment given by one of their beauty spa therapists. Enjoy a candlelit dinner together either on the balcony or in front of the log burning stove of your suite. Finish off the evening in your own private hot tub. If you prefer to stay in the main hotel, Valentine Day starts with a champagne reception followed by a five course ‘his and hers’ tasting menu with accompanying wines."
"Fifth wedding anniversary: The fifth anniversary is traditionally represented by wood, which is, frankly, a great excuse to book a night at one of Chewton Glen’s new Treehouse Suites. Set in the New Forest National Park, Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa is a perfectly pleasant picture-postcard country house hotel but its treehouses, which lie on stilts in the canopy of a peaceful wood-clad valley and have breakfast delivered in a hamper each morning, are some of the most exciting accommodation in the UK right now."
"On the edge of the New Forest and minutes from the sea this is the place where honeymooners can combine the experience of a five star hotel with the facilities of a world class health spa. The hotels suites ooze relaxation and luxury with beds that are just too comfortable for words! Enjoy cocktails or afternoon tea on the terrace or just wander around the spacious grounds this hotel is an amazing honeymoon chill out zone."
Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa is part of the following Inspirations based on location:
"Hampshire is a county known to fly somewhat under the radar. Adjacent to Dorset with its beautiful beaches; and Sussex, which contains one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the whole of the UK in Brighton, some might think that Hampshire has nothing to offer. This article will beg to differ and begin to explore some of the best spots, sights and attractions that are an absolute must for anyone wishing to visit the county."

Review of Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa
Posted Amy WCustomer stayed Sep 2016by
This hotel must go down as one of my all-time, most-fabulous stays ever.
From the drive up the gravel, to the Hunter boots at the entrance, to the friendly, personable service, to the gorgeous grounds, the kitchen gardens.....the list of excellence is too long to mention.
I was lucky enough to stay in a suite that was one of the best rooms I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. I even had a wood-burning hot tub on my enormous deck outside which I enjoyed after dinner in the hotel restaurant.
The restaurant was excellent in every way too with offerings on the menu that honoured the establishment's sense of place. What a treat!
Thank you to Andrew and his incredible team for an amazing stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in the world.
