Hutton-In-The-Forest garden

Hutton-in-the-Forest´s Walled Garden is the main attraction dating from the 1730s. It contains an increasing collection of herbaceous plants, as well as many fruits trained to the walls, at its most beautiful in the summer months. The Terraces round the House have a variety of 19th century topiary in box and yew. The Low Garden below is a Victorian planting of rhododendrons and Irish yew, skirted by a stream with a cascade from an 18th century lake. This is also the location for a summer sculpture exhibition. The Woodland Walk surrounding the gardens includes 65 identified species of tree and possesses a restored 17th century Dovecote. Gift shop & light refreshments available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
