The Elephant Hotel

We held our wedding at the hotel on the 13th August 2016 and we couldn't have ask for a better day! ALL the staff were just unbelievable from start to finish and nothing was to much trouble, friendly and so helpful. The set up was fantastic and looked great. Whatever we wanted they done, if we wanted to move or add tables, sofas etc they did it without issue. We had the BBQ for the wedding breakfast which was just amazing and everyone commented on how nice it was, it worked so well. The evening nibbles of bacon rolls, fish finger rolls, egg rolls and chips went down a treat and tasted amazing! We hired the garden for private use and added garden games, a gazebo and a drinks 'station' for beers, pimms and soft drinks dispensers. We would highly recommend hiring the garden, especially for a summer wedding! We booked all but one of the bedrooms and had nothing but great comments back from guests. After the night had finished the staff packed away all of our garden games, sweet stand, photo booth, gifts, candles etc and laid them in a corner ready for us to just load into the car the next morning!! We just couldn't have asked for a better day. We want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Claire, the hotels wedding coordinator for all her hard work and Dale, the GM for running the day and making sure it ran smoothly. Both so professional and friendly. A special thanks to Elizabeth, the hotels duty manager. She was amazing! So caring and helpful, always asking if everything was OK and asking if we needed anything. She was great with the Bride, helping with the dress, shoes, drinks etc. We all fell in love with her! Over all it was just an amazing day and night, we would highly recommend anyone to host their wedding at the hotel or just a nights stay. We will be returning for some weekend stays and the odd bite to eat in the future. To ALL the Elephant Team THANK YOU SO MUCH, you are all brilliant x

We got married at The Elephant and had The Best Day and night. We've had so many complements on the venue, from both the look and feel, how gorgeous the garden was to how relaxed and informal the event was - which was exactly what we wanted. We're delighted that we had the whole place to ourselves, and we knew that we would probably need it!, and it felt just right. The kids were great and had a ball, we didn't lock our room all weekend and it just seemed to work. The staff were all brilliant, so helpful, attentive and friendly and really helped the day run smoothly but also added to the occasion. I know that i said this before but many people have commented on the staff, they're all stars. The pavlova went down SO well and the food was gorgeous so please pass our thanks and complements on to the chef. My only regret was that i was so preoccupied and chatting that i didn't get to eat as much as i'd have liked but the chat about the pavolva being for pudding and how that worked went on for a few days! And everyone who stayed loved breakfast! The team all put in so much effort wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My daughter and son in laws wedding was held here and the whole team were amazing they all worked really hard and made the day a great success. Clare the wedding planner was excellent the manager and all the team were friendly and welcoming and all had a great "Can Do" attitude nothing was too much trouble. Having private use of the hotel is a great bonus and really worth the extra cost the food is of a really good standard the chef did a great job of the barbecue, the young girl that cleared tables, served drinks and even helped take photos was positive, helpful and friendly. The guy that worked really efficently serving in the bar in the evening and then still managed to give that same great service at breakfast deserves a thanks

We had our Wedding ceremony and reception at The Elephant at the end of September. We were initially drawn to the venue due to the size, flow of the rooms and decor and after meeting Claire (Events Manager) and sampling the delicious food, we knew this was the place for us. The day went brilliantly and every member of staff were friendly and helpful. Any minor issue that occurred was dealt with extremely efficiently and professionally by Chris and thanks to Claire's planning, the day flowed really well. We had such a lovely day we are returning for Christmas lunch :) Thank you to all at The Elephant for helping to make our day so special.

We got married at The Elephant in July and it was a wonderful day and a perfect venue for a wedding. I loved the quirky style of the hotel with its beautiful dark wood floors, big sofas, chandeliers and a huge painted elephant in the reception.The garden was lovely too and made for beautiful photos. Claire Cole, the venue's wedding planner, gave helpful advice and suggestions beforehand. On the day, thanks to her organisation and a fantastic staff, the wedding went like a dream.

We got married at The Elephant in Pangbourne on Sunday and we could not have wished for anything better. We loved the food, the atmosphere and the whole of our day, we had an amazing day and will be coming back for our anniversary. We had our wedding reception at the Elephant Hotel. Overall everything was excellent. Having the main reception room adjoining the garden was ideal. Lots of space for children to play. The food was great, the staff were professional and friendly and ensured that everything went smoothly. Thank you!
