Bridal parties have their own cottage to get ready in together. Wedding planners on hand throughout the process to assist in choosing and organising all the finer details. Beautiful grounds for guests to enjoy.

Stay the night before your wedding in The Wedding Lodge, the bridal prep house, situated right next to the venue. This house has 4 double bedrooms (sleeping up to 8 guests), 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen/dining room, a lounge, a bridal preparation room and a lovely large garden, perfect for relaxing drinks the night before the wedding and beautiful photos the following morning.

THE MOST ‘AMAZING' DAY EVER! First things first, our day would not have been possible without the incredible wedding planner Angie. Even before the wedding day she was always on hand to reply swiftly to any emails we sent, no matter the time of day or how silly the question. We were never told NO about any of our ideas for the wedding, she only helped us to fulfil every idea and make it a reality. Even the Facebook group Angie set up was great, it helped us to talk to previous Brides/Grooms and get ideas for the venue. On the day of the wedding we had to do barely any setting up, which meant the Groom could enjoy getting ready in the Bridal Suite with his best man and felt completely stress-free. The setup of the house and marquee was magical and looked absolutely stunning. We couldn't have asked for anything more! The whole day ran very smoothly, and we didn't feel rushed once which meant that we could take in the day and even the guests commented on how relaxed they felt. Next is a massive thank you to Sarah and the Premier Crew catering team. They were extremely friendly and efficient in their service throughout the entire day. They went above and beyond from the welcome drinks all the way through to our fish & chip cones in the evening. The food tasted phenomenal and all guests were extremely happy, including our guests with dietary requirements. Our next big thank you has to go to Paul and Jane for letting us use your incredible, breath-taking house and grounds for our special day. All of our guests that stayed loved how modern and stylish their rooms were and how much space they had. Although we didn't spend much time in our Bridal cottage it was absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect location to get away and spend some time on our own after a day filled with guests. At the end of the night Paul went out of his way to set us (and our staying guests) up a few drinks in the cosy lounge with some music and this made the perfect end to a COMPLETELY PERFECT DAY! Even the morning after, the greatness of this place just continued to shine when we turned up to the breakfast room and was greeted with lots of yummy breakfast snacks and a delicious sausage sandwich (which was definitely needed after the night before). We weren't rushed at all in the morning to check out and leave, and everyone enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. This gave us plenty of time to pack up and say goodbye to guests properly. If we could, we would love to do the day all over again, as this truly was the best day of our lives! We cannot thank you all enough for making our day such a special one and helping to fill it with lots of memories that we will treasure forever! Natalie & Matthew


We got married at That Amazing Place on 6th July and to say it exceeded what were already very high expectations would be an understatement. We fell in love with the venue from our first visit and more so every time we came back before the big day. From day one, Angie was calm, thorough and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and all help was deeeslivered with a laugh and a smile, especially on the big day where she looked after everything behind the scenes and ensured it went without a hitch. The venue itself was so beautiful that we only brought the bare minimum in decorations with us as there was little we could improve on. We also met owner Paul shortly before the wedding who couldn't do enough for us, making sure all the guests were happy, checking in regularly on us and giving us free reign of his beautiful home. So bizarre yet special to be left feeling you have the run of the gorgeous house and grounds for the day. He even set us up with an impromptu after party for us and our stay over guests once the bulk had left to top off an already amazing day. Big shout out to the most handsome retriever Alfie as well who made multiple appearances throughout the day! All in all, we wouldn't change a thing. All the recommended suppliers were faultless and no other venue we considered felt so welcoming, homely and special. Not just in its stunning grounds with its gorgeous duck-filled lake and beautiful scenery or immaculately kept interiors, but in the people who are there to care for it and us on our special day. Money can't buy the support and care Angie, Paul and the whole team put into their work and we will be forever grateful. There is a reason That Amazing Place has near-faultless reviews and we found out why on 6th July. Thank you!!


Hi Angie. Thank you so much for all that you have done to make our amazing wedding happen. From the first time we spoke to you on the phone right through until the day of the wedding you have been supportive and helpful with everything that we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for you and you always stayed in contact with us about the guidance as and when it changed. It certainly wasn’t an easy time to plan a wedding and full of ups and downs, but the day was all that we could have asked for. Please also pass on my thanks to Paul who was very kind on the day, and throughout the evening to us and our guest, and made a positive impression on all that he spoke to. Being able to stay at the venue with our guests was lovely touch as well as getting ready there in the morning with the bridesmaids. You managed to maintain the guidance but not impede on our day and we were so impressed with this. After having to cancel our wedding in Italy, I didn’t know how I would feel about getting married in England. Then when we decided to move the wedding up by 2 weeks with just 48 hours notice I had no idea what it would be like but we both had the best day of our lives. All of the suppliers that you suggested also were amazing and accommodating, which was really helpful. Thank you again for everything that was done by That Amazing Place, and especially Angie.

Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect, it was no where near the wedding we thought we’d have and dreamed about but turned out to be so much more – who knew this was even possible?! We fell in love with the venue two years ago; its stunning grounds and picture perfect manor house, but the thing we loved the most was its family feel. We remember being told by Paul the owner the venue would be exclusively ours for the day to do as we pleased – and two years on we can honestly say he really did mean that. Angie our Events Manager went above and beyond any expectation I had of an events manager. Getting married during a global pandemic threw up a few hurdles of date changes and restrictions to name a few. But Angie was there each time, reassuring us making the whole process smooth and enjoyable – even when planning your wedding day in 48hours!. Every part of the day was truly amazing! That Amazing Place will always hold a place in our hearts as that is the place we FINALLY got to say “I do” on 25th September 2020 during our fully covid compliant wedding. We honestly can’t thank you enough for creating unforgettable memories that will last a life time.

We were married under Covid-19 in September 2020 and I am beyond thankful that this was our venue. The venue itself is stunning, finished to such a beautiful and high standard. Every visit we were welcomed like family and the entire team were outstanding. Food for our wedding (provided by Premier Crew Catering) was absolutely beautiful and everything we asked for. Covid-19 has posed a specific set of challenges for couples getting married this year, but even an international pandemic is no match for Angie, the Wedding and Events Director. Her support, contact and determination to give us the wedding we wanted despite everything going on meant that we didn’t stop smiling start to finish. She was a complete superstar. We both agreed that, although it wasn’t the original day we had planned, we couldn’t have had a better day. I couldn’t recommend That Amazing Place highly enough, they were incredible. Sorry we haven't been in touch before now, we jetted straight off on our honeymoon and are finally able to sit down and go back over what an amazing day last Friday was, without me getting emotional and crying, yet again!! Just want to thank the whole team at That Amazing Place for everything they done to make sure our wedding day went ahead. We had a pandemic wedding for 15 guests after changing our plans….. I believe it was 4 times. Each time Angie was very accepting and optimistic, and each time our numbers were cut, put us at ease that our wedding will still be the best day of our lives.
