The Charter Suite is a stunning room licenced for civil ceremonies for up to 180 guests. You can also experience a magical fairy tale setting outside in the historic Sunken Garden at Moor Hall which is licenced for up to 150 guests. It's the ideal choice for anyone looking for an outside ceremony. Seating is set up around the fountain and you say “I Do” in front of the stone archway. Afterwards there are beautiful backdrops for photos including the lawns, the woodlands and the Sunken Garden.
Wedding receptions
The Charter Suite is a spacious ground floor with its own direct entrance, bar and surrounding conservatory which overlooks the gardens. For smaller weddings of up to 60 guests, the stunning Oak Room restaurant is ideal with views of the surrounding parkland.
Getting ready suite
For the night before the wedding, the Getting Ready Suite is a great place for a sleepover. The room has a mirrored four poster bed, sofa bed and connecting room, and lots of mirror and dressing table space for everyone to get ready. There’s a connecting twin room too so the whole bridal party can enjoy the night before the wedding together.

You will also have access to the leisure facilities which includes an indoor pool, spa bath, steam and sauna to relax the night before.
The ceremony
You can choose to have your civil ceremony at Moor Hall in either the Charter Suite or Bracebridge Room or say “I Do” outside in the historic Sunken Garden.
Drinks reception
After your ceremony your guests can enjoy drinks and canapes outside on the terrace and lawns or in the Sunken Garden; or in the colder months the Charter Bar is the perfect place to relax and mingle. Why not entertain the guests with the grand piano, or the conservatory is a perfect place for a string quartet or harpist.
Wedding breakfast
The Charter Suite makes a stunning backdrop for your wedding breakfast and can seat up to 180 guests. The neutral gold, cream and grey palette matches any colour scheme and the twinkling lights and chandeliers make the perfect romantic atmosphere.
For smaller wedding receptions choose the Oak Room restaurant, Bracebridge or Longmoor Rooms which all offer stunning views of the surrounding parkland.
Celebrate and party!
After your wedding breakfast, the Charter Suite will be transformed for your evening reception. Your day guests can use this time to check in to their rooms or relax in the bar or grounds.
When your evening guests arrive the Charter Suite will be reopened with the DJ or band setup, tables moved to the side and the dance floor uncovered – ready for an unforgettable evening wedding reception.
The evening will finish around 12am and residents can then enjoy a drink in the Lounge Bar.
