Arrive at the castle the day before to dine and catch up with friends family with accommodation for 48 people. The wedding day begins with an English breakfast before retiring to prepare for the ceremony which is either in the Norman Keep, 15th century Great Hall, Rotunda or the St Lawrences Church in Appleby. After signing of the register champagne flows as photographs are taken in and around this spectacular castle. Following the photographs the wedding breakfast celebration in the 15th century Great Hall offers unsurpassed unique dining for up to 100 people. After speeches the cutting of the cake and first dance are celebrated in the Old Great Hall as the night unfolds with an amazing party.

Historic Appleby Castle cherishes one of the few intact Norman Keeps left in the UK. Explore the 25 acres of private enclosed grounds that abounds with wildlife such as red squirrels. Set at the foot of the Pennines at the edge of the lake district Appleby Castle has accommodation for all sorts of parties with 17th-century cottages with adjoining doors capable of sleeping twelve people. A bridal prep room and snooker room are available. A river also runs through the estate with private fishing also available.

Located at the edge of the Lake District at the foot of the Pennines Appleby Castle overlooks the town of Appleby. Accessible from North and South via the M6 and from the East by the upgraded A66, Appleby is 12 miles from the M6 and 28 miles from the A1.

The capacity for a wedding breakfast in the Great Hall is 100. If more than 100 a marquee can be erected in the bailey for up to 500 people. Ceremony capacity varies according to wedding ceremony location.
