Evenings can be pleasantly spent in the comfort of the house or at a local country pub.

Somerset has so many surprises waiting to be unwrapped by the inquisitive visitor, and your stay will give you the experience of many special places of interest. There are miles of country walks and bike rides in this historical and magical area. There is an option of further accommodation in the converted barn, adjacent to the house.

The annexe also enjoys a well-appointed king-size bedroom with Juliette balcony, ensuring views of the glorious countryside are always on offer, which is served by a sleek en-suite shower room where you can prepare for the day in style before heading over to enjoy the delights of the main house.

What is the capacity for The Quackery?

The accommodation benefits from a large, inviting living room with two large sofas, a log burner and great views of the gardens.

The Verandah is a special  place to enjoy your morning coffee, and alfresco dining area !
There are numerous toys to keep you amused during your stay, trampoline, hammock, croquet, badminton net, boules set, and giant Jenga.

There is a fabulous hot tub , which some folk enjoy using.

The secluded rockery garden with its barbecue , pizza oven, garden seating and patio areas , lovely flowers provides a great spot for a lazy afternoon or a fun time in the garden!

In winter months, the aga gives the cosy fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room , with its garden aspects, a warm welcoming space with a lovely dining area.

On its own, the house can accommodate up to 8 / 9 people and with the addition of the " Annex ", it will sleep up to 11 people .

The pretty riverside town of Langport and the old market town of Somerton are lovely places to while away the hours!

Beware, there are several ponds and a stream nearby, so all the normal risks with young children apply.
Bedding, sheets, pillowcases, and duvets are all provided but they do not provide towels.Therefore guests must bring their own towels.
