Overview

A truly unique waterside property with a private jetty and boat berth, and arguably the finest holiday home available in Sovereign Harbour. In a prime south-facing position you'll enjoy the sun all day on the private terraces, decking, conservatory and gardens. The house is perfect for extended families and groups of friends looking for a spectacular base for relaxing, sight-seeing and catching up in a truly special house. There is a fire in the drawing room so imagine the cosy setting in the colder months. There is a wonderful table in the kitchen for relaxed communal dining and a more formal setting in the dining room with a table for up to 8. All bedrooms are large (no one will feel short-changed) and provide good levels of storage, often built-in. Five bedrooms are situated on the first floor, with three overlooking the water. The principle bedroom, with marina views, has a super kingsize bed (or two twin beds if you prefer) plus an ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower for space and flexibility. There is another bedroom enjoying a super king-size bed (or two separate single beds), with an ensuite shower room. Bedroom three provides a permanent kingsize, whilst there are a further two bedrooms on the first floor, each set up with twin beds. There is a separate family bathroom, with a bath and separate shower. On the ground floor (handy for elderly parents or those who prefer to minimise stairs), a sixth bedroom has two single beds, with a separate toilet opposite. All linen and towels are provided, with additional linen supplied for stays of more than a week. WiFi is provided and there is ample parking for up to four cars on the driveway and in the double garage (where you can also store bicycles or scooters).

What do you think makes a stay at Wellington Quay Waterside Home unique?

An extraordinary house in an extraordinary wayerside setting.  The reviews reveal rather more about the house and overall experience than you'd believe in the text....

What is the capacity for Wellington Quay Waterside Home?

Up to 12 people in spacious comfort across 6 bedrooms.

Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Eastbourne area?

There are many historical sites just a short trip away, including Pevensey and Bodium Castles, whilst Battle, arguably the most important place in English history, is around 20 minutes away (take a tour around the battlefield!).

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The marina at Sovereign Harbour includes The Waterfront area which is great for dining or a spot of shopping, with facilities including an English pub/restaurant, Thai, Indian and Italian restaurants, a wine bar, a fitness boutique and a hairdressers.

Lovely house, think it has 6 bedrooms but we only used 3 of them! The location is superb...right on the marina with its own boat dock. Although you are located right in the marina it is still quiet. The house is in a close so not lots of traffic or anything like that. Ample parking for at least 4 cars...probably more. I like to cook so was looking closely at the kitchen, it had everything I needed to make a nice dinner, and of course because it is design for a lot of people to stay there were plenty of crockery and utensils etc. Large kitchen table we used every day, and has a more formal dining room that we never bothered with that. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck just watching the activity in the Marina. Walking distance (10 mins max) to the restaurants in the Marina, and 10 mins walk to a supermarket (3 mins drive) so easy to stock up on food and groceries down here rather than cart it with you. Used the house as a base to explore the area, which of course is famously near Hastings and everything from AD1066 ! kids enjoyed that side of our holiday...would definitely use the house again and probably for more people as it is huge.

Great house for all family ages This is a fabulous house in a great location. The large kitchen diner was used by us all for lunch and the odd dinner. The spacious conservatory was used all times of day,and gave a great view of the marina below and the goings on.The huge decked area was used for breakfast, for sunbathing or having a pre dinner drink. The lower garden and jetty filled many hours of boat watching and crab fishing. The house itself was perfect for the family group that we travelled with. The downstairs twin room was used by my mother in law,the upstairs superking by my parents, the kingsize by my teenage daughter and the other two twins by my teenage boys. The flexibility of having a study and lounge meant that a film could watched in one room, whilst t.v was watched in the other, without disturbing the book readers!! The proximity to the supermarket was great and we all made use of being able to walk to the coffee shop and mant restaurants based at the marina,as well as the landtrain int Eastbourne. An all round great house.

Fantastic house for two families, great location and facilities. We are two families who have been going on holiday together for over 15 years - this house was voted the best we have ever stayed in. The location may not be in the town centre, but we all enjoyed the walk along the beach into Eastbourne. Waking up to the amazing view of the harbour was a delight. Having a house with so much room was perfect as the kids are now all teenagers and older! Kitchen was well equipped and the quality of the showers (when all three were running at the same time) was great. We had a perfect week of weather and visited Battle, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Excellent Accommodation. It is not easy to find a suitable property to accommodate a (3 generation) family of 12 but this property fulfilled all our needs and by far outclasssed all previous holiday properties. A beautiful location and excellently equipped - the owners seem to have thought of everything. Having 2 fridge/freezers was very much appreciated - a facility we have not previously experienced. The property afforded spacious accommodation and was excellently maintained. I would have not hesitation in highly recommending

The house is fantastic - very comfortable with plenty of space for all 12 of us! The garden being directly on the harbour is fantastic - a very relaxing place to sit. We spent most of the time in the conservatory which overlooks the garden and harbour. Plenty of good food nearby, and plenty of places to walk and see the boats. All staff from Exclusively Eastbourne were very helpful and friendly. Overall we all had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Brilliant accommodation for a large group, great views and amenities within walking distance. This house had all you need for a large group of differing ages. Spacious rooms, great dining facilities and plenty of bathrooms. We also loved that you could easily walk around the harbour and to the restaurants, shops and beach. Nice personal touch meeting us on arrival. Thoroughly recommend it!

We stayed at Wellington Quay with a group of friends and their families. There was plenty of space for us all to have our own rooms and bathrooms and the spacious kitchen and dining facilities made it easy to sit round the table and chat. The house is in a great location being an easy walk to restaurants and shops but away from any noise. We even went for a swim in the sea!

Wonderful house for a family get together. We booked this property for 3 generations of our family to come together and it was fantastic. A couple of minor issues were resolved by Carl very speedily. The weather was superb and all in all a superior holiday was had by everyone.

DesmondL

A great property for our family to use The weather was awful all weekend but as we sat in the conservatory we felt we were still able to enjoy the views. The house was spotless and had everything we needed.
