The Longhouse is located a short, 5 minute, drive from the popular town of Aberfeldy. A beautiful timber and glass Longhouse set in the majestic Scottish Highlands. The owners of this lovely property have a keen eye for detail and impeccable taste, they have meticulously crafted a classic mid-century aesthetic, and the finished product had even had the Visit Scotland inspector totally blown away! What is the capacity for The Longhouse?
The house sleeps six people and is dog friendly. The main bedroom features a king-size bed as well as an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed, while the third has a twin bed. A fantastic family bathroom with a spacious shower cubicle and an impressive free standing bath is located between these two bedrooms. The living area is open plan and has a lot of wow factor! High vaulted ceilings, wide windows and doors that flood the room with natural light, a superb kitchen with Miele appliances, and ample storage space are just a few of the wonderful amenities. The wood fire keeps the house warm and inviting, and there is also underfloor heating throughout.
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Aberfeldy area?
The Longhouse is about a 5-minute drive from Aberfeldy, a famous tourist destination. There are beautiful walks right outside the door, including one down the river to the town. An array of activities available, including a local leisure centre with a swimming pool, a golf course, and Birks Cinema, to mention a few. Highland Safaris is only 2 minutes away and offers Landrover safaris and a variety of fun activities for the whole family. They also provide Loch Safaris on the magnificent Loch Tay, which is only a 5-10 minute drive away. If it is culture and shopping you are looking for then there is a wealth of castles, distilleries, and unique independent shops, including the famous House of Bruar.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
There are several cafés, pubs, and restaurants in nearby Aberfeldy that will cater to various tastes. Or why not have a private chef come from Ballintaggart and cook for you or have wonderful homemade ready meals made to order and delivered to the house. Picnics can be delivered for you to take on days out exploring (or just to enjoy whilst you fish on the lochan). You can even arrange for a chef to come and BBQ by the lochan for you, making use of the unique fishing hut with its roof top dining area.
