With space for up to eight people, this stone farmhouse blends rustic character with modern features, including exposed beams, generous sofas, a roaring fire, and a kitchen Georgian dining room designed for long, leisurely suppers.

Four super king-size rooms are dressed with crisp bed linens and countryside views, while the comfy lounge invite you to linger over coffee or gather for games by the fire with a hot chocolate. Outside, there’s a garden with sweeping views across the Eden Valley, the perfect spot if up early enough to watch the sunrise before you start your day.

The location couldn’t be better for walkers and cyclists. From your door, you can follow paths into the Dales, strike out towards the Howgill Fells, or head to nearby Ullswater for a boat trip. Kirkby Stephen itself offers a scattering of independent shops, traditional pubs and a weekly market.
