Overview

In 2001 despite its rather dilapidated appearance Paul and Mel fell in love with The Lone Barn. Paul used his skills as a carpenter and Mel her creative talents to create the home it is today. Their love of the outdoors has given them and their family great opportunities to explore the Hampshire Countryside and now wish to give others those same opportunities when they visit The Lone Barn, once a working farm with cattle in the barn and horses in the stables - is now our home and an enchanting place to stay, whether to bike and hike in the splendid Hampshire Countryside or simply to rest and chill in the beautiful garden or by the roaring fire in winter. Offering great flexibility with the Stables and Stores accommodating up to 8 guests in total (later in 2018 10 with another room in the main house). Celebrate an occasion with family and friends or simply use as a base to come and enjoy some of the delights Hampshire has to offer, whether it is a stately home or some muddy mountain bike trails.

I stayed with my teenage daughter and my best friend in the main house, B&B in the Ramble and Tandem rooms. Our delightful hostess, Mel, greeted us with tea (or G&T plus nibbles if one's in the mood!) with home baked goodies. Rooms are a treat, gorgeous linens, fresh flowers, all with such creative flair. Breakfast is divine with fresh fruits, home-baking, fruit shots etc - full english is available too. Plus recommendations for dining etc made our short break very special indeed.
