Set in 3,100 acres of countryside, the reservoir offers something for everyone in an exhilarating yet peaceful setting. You can take your own or hire a bike and give the 25-mile circular track a go. Rutland Water is known globally for its sailing, trout fishing and bird watching facilities. Rich in history and character, Oakham is a bustling market town. The market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday at the Market Place. There is a wide variety of stalls selling fruit and vegetables, fish and cheese, bread, clothing, household goods and plants.
