Ballasalla is a village in the south east of the Isle of Man. The local railway station is on the Isle of Man Steam Railway. The millennium way long distance foothpath which was opened in 1979 and is 28 miles long, runs through the village. Near the village are the remains of Rushen Abbey founded in 1134.
