Overview

Moat House is a luxurious 5* Cottage romantically situated next to the Moat and within the beautiful gardens of Hindringham Hall. This beautiful cottage with two rooms, a secluded rear garden, offers completely refurbished accommodation with uninterrupted views over the water and parkland. For those seeking spacious and comfortable accommodation it's a perfect cottage.

What do you think makes a stay at Moat House at Hindringham Hall unique?

The house was built by Martin Hastings, a courtier to Henry Fitzroy, the illegitimate son of Henry VIII, using stone from the local monasteries which were then being dissolved. Guided history tours of gardens and ground floor of the house are available to book.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

There is a large open plan, fully-equipped kitchen diner for guests to use at their own leisure. Within the grounds of Hindringham, when the gardens are open coffee, tea and delicious cake is served in pretty bone china in the tea room overlooking the garden.

What is the capacity for Moat House at Hindringham Hall?

Moat House is the perfect space for two guests. It has a modern kitchen with wonderful views to the parkland, separate dining area and large open plan sitting room with french windows onto your own private enclosed garden at the rear of the cottage. Upstairs hidden under the eaves there is a king-sized bed and modern open plan bathroom with walk-in shower. There is also a separate dressing room containing a single bed.

Our second stay in this very comfortable cottage in such a lovely setting. It was lovely that our week coincided with a tour of the house and garden- which we much enjoyed, and was one of the highlights of our week. Great walks too, not spoilt by the very "English" weather! Thank you so much

Tony & SueB

We had yet another fabulous time & loved the tourd of the house and garden etc.Linda & Charles are delightful and could not have been more helpful & kind. Please make sure the signets are all still here next time we visit. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home.

Joe & Gill.

We have loved every minute of our week here. Utter peace & tranquility & an excellent base for North Norfolk. A magnificent garden, fascinating birds and fauna, involved being welcomed by the swans every day! Thank you

Neil and Dame Hilary.

It was lovely to be back for our 3rd visit to Moat House, thank you to our wonderful hosts again. Always great to be greeted by the swans too. See you in 2019 for another fabulous week

Mr & MrsS

Warm and comfy home from home, we've loved our relaxing time here. Swans are lovely as is this gorgeous setting. Look forward to returning again soon. Thank you

MrS

A relaxing week bird watching and visiting historic sites. Even had an English Partridge in the house. Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Many thanks

Christopher & Gill.

Total tranquillity. Again, where "noise" equals birdsong, the buzzing of bees and the baaing of sheep. Thankyou

Ann & Michael.

Wonderful stay, thank you! Everything we needed, beautifully peaceful-just the perfect break!

Wendy & Steve.

Beautiful Cottage. Lovely location-we'd love to come back in the spring or summer

Barry & Linda.
