Overview

Located in the village of Swaffham Prior, Hilary's Cottage is a Victorian detached cottage. The Cottage kitchen boasts a fridge freezer, microwave and electric hob and cooker. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is one shared bathroom on the ground floor, both have baths with shower attachments. The living room has free wireless Internet access, a basic Sky TV package and a big leather sofa. There is a small, private garden at the rear of the cottage with outdoor seating.

What is the capacity for Hilary's Cottage?

Hilary's Cottage can sleep up to 6 guests. On the ground floor, you will find one king-sized bedroom and one shared bathroom. Upstairs on the first floor, there is one king-sized bedroom with an ensuite and one twin bedroom. Each of the beds are fitted with continental quilts and sheets complete with covers and two pillows. Towels, both hand and bath, are provided in each of the bathrooms. 

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Cambridge area?

The village is served by the No.10 bus which runs from Cambridge to Newmarket and through most of the nearby villages. A cycle path runs through the village of Swaffham Prior and goes all the way from Burwell to Cambridge. 

In the nearby university City of Cambridge, you can find shops, punting, and historic architecture. Newmarket, which is just 4 miles away is the headquarters of British horse racing and home to the Nation Horse Racing Museum. Duxford – Home to the Duxford Air and Space Museum.

Ely – With Ely Cathedral and fine riverside eateries.

Other places you may want to visit include: Bury St. Edmunds, Abbey Gardens and the historic villages of Long Melford, Lavenham and Cavendish. These of which are all located in the nearby county of Suffolk.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Within the village of Swaffham Prior, there is a charming 17th-century pub with a great choice of ales and wines and serves excellent food every day, except Thursday. If you're happy to venture a little further out, Newmarket and Cambridge are brimming with bars and restaurants to suit every palate.
