Gate House, Cumbria

Returned a year later for another get together and so glad we did! Just as incredible as we remembered and perfect for our bi-annual get together. I spend a lot of time researching properties but have found nothing to compare with Gate House. Perfect property in perfect location. I really don't want to leave tomorrow but already planning next year. The weather has been terrible but this is when the house proves perfect; just happy to chill out here! Can't wait for our next visit.

I would like to say how blown away we were at the standard of Gate House. It was totally amazing and the best place we have ever rented in the Lakes. The owners deserve credit for the outstanding level of comfort and quality of every part of the house and their incredible attention to detail. All 3 families were raving about it and I expect we shall make a repeat booking sometime next year.

Our first visit to Gate House and we have fallen in love with the house. Brilliant location, perfect facilities, wonderful weather. We have loved our stay and cannot wait to come back again. We have stayed at the Gate House five times since the renovation work. It is a lovely property and we always look forward to our stay here. It has to be one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. There is nothing in our opinion you need to improve. We just love this house.

A perfect location to spend a family Christmas. The house is absolutely stunning and the attention to detail just perfect. Plenty of walks and pubs on the doorstep. It has been a pleasure to stay here and we will be returning soon.
