Overview

Fox Hatch is one of three barns on Bullocks Farm that have been beautifully transformed by an award-winning architectural team, providing plenty of comfort and elegance for the ideal break. Look out over the South-undulating East's fields and countryside. Relax with a cup of coffee at a huge breakfast bar and make plans for the day. Alternatively, relax in front of the TV with a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating to keep you warm and cosy. Fox Hatch is a big, open-plan barn that has been restored to a high standard to create a wonderful home-away-from-home in the quiet of a working farm.

What is the capacity for Fox Hatch?

Fox Hatch sleeps up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed while bedroom 2 has a pair of large singles (can be zipped to make a super-king).

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Bishops Stortford area?

There is plenty to see at Kentwell Hall, including the historic house, which is enclosed by a moat, beautiful grounds, and a rare breeds farm. Regular Tudor war re-enactments take place here, and the hall has been on a number of television shows. Saffron Walden is a beautiful Essex town with medieval half-timbered buildings and even a set of village stocks. There are markets here every Tuesday and Saturday, as well as a ruined castle to explore. If you’d like to get out and about in the countryside, you can’t go wrong with the Flitch Way. Part of the national cycle route, the path is traffic-free for most of its 15 miles.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The farmhouse kitchen serves meals and treats that feature local produce and seasonal ingredients. Some are so local that you can see them from your window! Should you wish to venture out to eat, there is an abundance of eateries to suit all tastes in the surrounding villages and towns.
