Guests will love the views of the Castle, Shropshire Hills and Whitcliffe Common from the windows and access to the local walks which are perfect for dog owners and nature lovers alike

What makes a stay at Ludlow Castle House Lodgings unique?

Castle House Lodgings are set within the walls of Ludlow Castle, with views of the castle from every window. It is in the heart of the Shropshire countryside and flanked by 2 rivers, giving guests amazing walks from their door. On arrival, guests receive a welcome pack of ‘Local to Ludlow' produce, including wine, along with entry tickets to the Castle. There is off-road parking in a private car park, with pedestrian access, for one car per apartment.

What is the capacity for Ludlow Castle House Lodgings?

There are 3 apartments. Prince Arthur & Catherine sleeps up to 5 and is a large apartment on a split level. Sir Henry Sidney sleeps up to 4, and welcomes 1 medium size dog or 2 small dogs. The Comus is in the roof and boasts a terrace overlooking the outer bailey and the rooftops of the town. It sleeps up to 4.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Ludlow area?

Ludlow is a unique market town, with many excellent independent shops and eateries. There is a local brewery which is open to the public most days. St Laurence's Church has a tower to the roof and one of the oldest medieval windows in Ludlow. The Buttercross Museum is well worth a visit, and The Assembly Rooms has regular entertainment and films.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The welcome basket has local cheeses, bread, jams, bread, butter and eggs, biscuits, apple juice and wine. Castle Kitchen has a diverse menu and is open 9am - 4pm daily. Ludlow is renowned for its eateries, and whilst there is no longer a Michelin-starred restaurant, there is still plenty to enjoy for all palates.

Other Information

The apartments are located on the first and second floor of Castle House and accessed by stairs. There is a private off-road car park with pedestrian access through for one car per apartment.

The Castle is situated in the centre of Ludlow Town. The nearest Pay and Display car parking is 250 yards away, and the town centre also has on-street metered car parking. When approaching Ludlow on the A49, follow the signs for the Park & Ride car park - the drop off is in Castle Square - a 30 second walk to the Castle. Ludlow is situated on the A49. From Birmingham, head west on the A456 through Kidderminster. Continue on the A456 through Tenbury Wells. Turn right onto the A49 and follow signs for Ludlow.
