What is the capacity for Bethnal&Bec Luxury Stays?
Two persons per retreat, both over the age of 18. Each retreat has a Kingsize or Superking bed. Accommodating more than 2 guests per retreat is not an option. For a group of 4 or 6, multiple retreats can be booked together, giving you the place to yourselves!
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Cottered area?
An array of walking, running, cycling and dog walking routes all from your back door. Your hosts can recommend some incredible local mobile therapists who can come to your retreat and offer the following: facials, massage, sports massage, reflexology, reiki, manicures and pedicures.
Visit cultural sites such as Knebworth House, Hatfield House, Imperial War Museum Duxford, Henry Moore Foundation to name a few. Bethnal&Bec Luxury Stays are surrounded by beautiful, picturesque towns and villages such as Hitchin; Ashwell; Buntingford; Letchworth, full of independent shops, markets and lots of places to enjoy some locally sourced food and drink.
A 30 minute drive from the historic city of Cambridge and just 25 minutes by train from London.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
Visit the honesty larder where you will find ambient, chilled and frozen in-retreat pantries. You can pay for what you enjoy via the iPad/Tablet in your retreat. Think hotel minibar on a much grander scale.... and definitely without the silly prices they charge!
Bethnal&Bec Luxury Stays are extremely lucky to be surrounded by a number of fabulous local friendly places to eat and drink, including the local pub, The Bull, a highly regarded gastropub just 500m up the road. There is now a small shop located inside the pub which stocks the basics like bread, cheese, fresh fruit and veg, plus items from their menu and meat.
Other Information
The Lazy Sunday Policy means that when you book a full weekend stay ending on a Sunday, there is no check out time.
You can either have the longest lie in ever & check out at 3pm on Sunday...
...or you can spend the entire day chilling out & leave for home at 11pm on Sunday night...
...OR, if you can - you can just go back to bed and check out on Monday.
The choice is yours!
The ONLY rule of the Lazy Sunday policy is that you must check out by 11am on Monday! Simple!
If you book a 2 night weekend starting on a Friday, they will update your booking to reflect this & any future emails from will show that you have booked a 3 night stay. The cost to you does not change!
