Overview

Offering the ultimate luxury all year round, nestled in the heart of Mid Suffolk, making a wonderful romantic hideaway for honeymoons, anniversaries, or simply those special times with close family or friends. Every lodge is exclusively for adults and offers space, isolation, and privacy in a wooded setting, with each lodge being individually situated around one of the three fishing lakes. A perfect location for seeing Suffolk and the surrounding area's ancient market towns and cities, picturesque villages, local attractions, and gorgeous coastline.

What makes a stay at Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges unique?

With complimentary Champagne, wine, chocolates and a generous welcome hamper to greet you on arrival, there are no hidden extras: linen, towels, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, Wi-FI, parking, BBQ gas, electricity and of course fishing, are all included in the price of your stay.

What is the capacity for Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges?

The four classic Scandinavian self-catering log cabins are constructed of the finest timber. Each can accommodate up to four adults and is equipped with a full kitchen, steam shower, private outdoor hot tub, wooden over-water deck, patio furniture and gas barbecue. The luxury Shepherds Hut, Damsel, is smaller than the log cabins but still comfortably sleeps two people, and offersall of the same amenities with the addition of an exclusive outdoor sauna.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Badwell Ash area?

There is always something to do here, no matter what time of year it is. Mid Suffolk has beautiful, tranquil countryside and picturesque villages due to its rural character, making it an excellent location for walking, cycling, riding, a day by the sea, or simply relaxing. There are also nature reserves, a rare breeds farm, a birds of prey centre, and an owl sanctuary to visit nearby.  The thrill seeker can find painball, go-karting, quad biking, indoor wall climbing, escape rooms, clay shooting, high wires and BMX scrambling all within 20 minutes. If you enjoy shopping many of the surrounding towns have thriving markets, crafts, pottery, and antique centres, as well as independent shops in addition to the usual high street stores. There are plenty of dining options nearby, ranging from quaint country pubs to the full Michelin star experience - please ask Will and Sarah for their tips!

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

There is a fantastic range of places to eat in the local towns of Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich and in surrounding villages.

Other Information

As important as all of the activities described above - and perhaps even more so - the owners pride themselves on offering their guests a peaceful, tranquil and relaxing stay. If you simply want to sit in a picturesque environment, close to nature, to read, paint or just contemplate the stars, then come and stay!
