The town of Ellon provides an ideal base for exploring the magnificent beaches and other coastal villages of the area. Ideal for bird watchers with nearby estuary sites, inland lochs and cliff nesting sites. The ruins of Ellon Castle can be seen from the town however its not at present open to the public.
