Overview

This former bank with its expansive wood-panelled dining room is one of the grandest settings in London to enjoy modern Indian food. Inspired by the feasting traditions of Awadhi aristocrats and using Nawab and Moghul cooking techniques such as Dum Pukht, the chefs concoct timeless North Indian dishes; perfect for sharing and exquisite in their mastery of spice and flavour.

Where is Zaika of Kensington located?

Feast like Awadhi royalty at Kensington’s landmark Indian restaurant, where the vivid flavours of Lucknow meet London luxury in a majestic dining room overlooking Hyde Park.

What cuisine is on offer at Zaika of Kensington?

Expect biryani and some tandoor cooked items on the menu and lentils, bread and rice are all present and correct as side orders, but you should put the local curry house firmly out of your mind when dining here. Instead, expected three courses of beautifully presented dishes such as pan-seared spiced scallops, sautéed cavolo nero with a pumpkin sauce and lamb shank and masala ratatouille with mint and lamb sauce. To really see what the kitchen is capable of, go for the six-course tasting menu and don't miss out on a signature Zaika cocktail made with Havana Blanco, Galliano, lime juice and champagne in the sumptuous bar.

What makes a meal at Zaika of Kensington unique?

Zaika’s dishes are steeped in the rich flavours of Awadh, North India, and inspired by the indulgent traditions of its historic Nawabi rulers. So you can look forward to a gourmet Indian feast fit for a king.
