The Black Horse can be found just a few minutes walk from Climping Beach in West Sussex and a short drive from the historical market town of Arundel, with it's impressive Castle (dating back to 1067) and Cathedral.

The Black Horse is a Grade-II listed property dating back to the 17th Century when it was a smugglers inn. 

It has now been lovingly restored to its former glory, with a stunning Bar and parquet flooring, fabulous pewter bar, double sided wood burner, cosy nooks and deep sofas perfect for a quick pint, delicious supper or a lively catch-up with friends.

A stunning oak frame extension, filled with light and height overlooking the fields, called The Ryebank, offers full flavour menus, inspired by the seasons, bursting with traditional pub grub favourites and local ingredients. 

The Pub also houses seven unique and individually designed bedrooms - renovated with fresh new bathrooms, beautiful wallpapers inspired by nature, and designed by a local neighbour, the rooms are filled with locally sourced antique furniture.

The Black Horse is on Climping Street, set in the unique beauty of the Sussex countryside and coastline and just a stone's throw Climping Beach.

Arriving by car: From the M25 take the A24 south towards Horsham and Worthing.  At Worthing take the A27 towards Arundel, turning left onto the A284 towards Littlehampton and Bognor Regis.  At Littlehampton continue on the A259 towards Bognor Regis. The Black Horse is signposted on your left on Climping Street off the A259.

Arriving by train: From London Victoria to Littlehampton takes around 1 hour 45 minutes with a further 5 minute taxi ride to the pub
