There's view of the sea and the delightful and beautifully maintained garden from this wood paneled hotel dining room. There's modern British cooking on the menu conjured from local seafood from Looe and meat and vegetables from nearby farms. Offal lovers might begin their meal with sautéed veal sweetbreads with a parsley risotto or there's seared hand dived scallops with apple and ginger purée for those sweet on seafood. Follow with a rump of Cornish lamb with fondant potato, flageolet beans and tomato and balsamic dressing or pan-fried John Dory with cauliflower purée and beignets, braised baby fennel, white truffle oil. A Sunday lunch of roast rib of Cornish beef and Yorkshire pudding with roast potatoes is something to celebrate.
