The Gunroom Restaurant at Plas Dinas Country House is an award-winning restaurant headed up by Head Chef and TV personality Daniel ap Geraint. It offers a unique take on british cuisine with a fine dining twist. With their monthly changing menu, designed around the seasons and using the freshest local Welsh produce, this award-winning restaurant offers an elegant and romantic dining experience in a historic country house oozing romantic tales set in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales.
Distinct choices of starter, main and dessert are interspersed with delicious hidden courses creating a unique dining experience that balances sumptuous indulgence with individual variety.
There are two sittings at 6pm and 8pm daily between the months of April to October and Tuesday - Saturday November - March. Guests are asked to arrive at least 20 minutes before the sitting to enjoy canapés in the Drawing Room. The sitting commences with the first course at the start of the sitting so don't be late. It is a wonderful experience.
The Gunroom was added to the Michelin Guide in April 2022. A huge achievement for their talented and ambitious team of chefs.

Every dish is a signature, although the beef on offer at Plas Dinas is devine. As the menu changes every month the options and, therefore signature dishes change. Chef Daniel Ap Geraint recently appeared on Great British Menu, winning the Wales week and then coming second in the starter and joint 3rd in the main.
What type of food do you serve at Gunroom at Plas Dinas Country House?
Modern British dishes with a monthly changing menu 9-course hybrid taster menu where you can choose your starter, main and dessert with additonal courses chosen by the chef. They ask that any dietary requirements are highlighted at least 48 hours ahead of arrival, such as vegan requirements. Daniel can then create a specific menu for you. An exquisite foodie experience with many additional touches to excite your taste-buds.

The atmosphere created by the history and story behind Plas Dinas, the Head Chef and TV personality Daniel ap Geraint and the incredible team that look after the guests. They have just been awarded 'Best Place To Eat' in Wales and 'Best Hotel' in Wales at the National Awards after being test visited and The Times Top One Hundred, it was added to the Michelin Guide in 2022 and have since retained their place. They were also awarded 2 AA rosettes and are currently awaiting the 3 rosette visit.

Afternoon Tea is currently served Tuesday - Sunday between 1pm and 3.30pm. It is a beautiful experience and one not to miss if you are visiting the area.
