The Merchant's Yard is a lovely venue. My husband and I booked for Sunday lunch and everything was perfect. Friendly, efficient staff, lovely restaurant and our Sunday roast was exceptional. The meal came on a wooden serving block with three bowls of different types of fresh veg along with a huge Yorkshire pudding each, roast potatoes, a jug of gravy and beautifully cooked meats. You then help yourself. The plates we served it onto were nice and hot. We also had a pudding each. Everything was displayed well. The Merchant's Yard is a beautiful place in a lovely village. We would certainly go again.

What an amazing find through our tourist book - a lovely setting, great atmosphere, ambience, welcome, drink and food selection. Lovely service and such a great evening to end our midweek break. The food was delicious and the price incredibly reasonable - lovely portions without being excessive. Really highly recommend and would be thrilled to go again and get to sample more of the menu another night.

Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food! I had the spicy pakora burger which was delicious. We ordered bread to start which was incredible and my toddler definitely approved as well. My husband had the pie which he couldn't stop raving about. The Merchant's Yard is a wonderful place to eat. Would definitely recommend!

Probably the best Sunday roast I've had, the staff were pleasant and the place itself very clean and well kept, the presentation of the food as it came out was 1st class. I would highly recommend The Merchant's Yard to anyone and definitely worth the 1 hr drive, we will be coming back that's for sure. 5*
