This award-winning restaurant is located behind the floor to ceiling windows of a classic shop front in the centre of Scarborough. The understated interior with walls lined with Italian wine making artefacts does not prepare one for the prowess of the kitchen. Chef proprietor Giorgio Allesio produces authentic Italian cuisine from carefully sourced seasonal local produce as well as the finest imported Italian ingredients including white Moncalvo truffles when in season. The long menu may offer starters of local langoustine in tempura batter or ravioli filled with black puddings followed by grilled whole turbot served off the bone with a white wine sauce or slow cooked ox cheek in red wine. A strictly Italian wine list offers a great range of different vintages.
