Near the most southerly point of South West Scotland, facing the Irish Sea, Knockinaam is situated in its own cove, approximately 3 miles from Portpatrick and only 12 miles from Cairnryan Ferry Crossing to Ireland. Logan Botanical Gardens, Castle Kenney and Glenwhan gardens are all within a half an hours drive, as are many walks around the stunning countryside and local beaches.

Knockinaam Lodge offers a set 7-course taster menu each evening, which is created depending on which ingredients arrive or are picked that day. Much of the produce is sourced locally, if not grown in the vegetable garden. Modern classical best describes Tony Pierce's style, who has been at the lodge over 21 years.

The dish most guests talk about are the Souffles that are created in the kitchen. White Peach & Raspberry, Morello Cherry and Chocolate, Hot Strawberry and Tarragon are just a few of the seasonal flavours that appear on the menu.
