No need to ask for a window table at this charming fish bistro. You can see the magnificent views of the famous Cobb (as featured in the movie of The French Lieutenants Women) and Dorset's Jurassic coastline from where ever you sit in this glass box of a restaurant that's perched on a hill overlooking the harbour. All the seafood bases are covered from a homely fish pie to a luxurious lobster and monkfish curry, but the accent here is on great fish such as whole grilled John Dory that might be served simply with bearnaise sauce. And of course there's a seasonally changing choice of oysters from around the UK including Maldon rocks and Helford natives. The monthly lunchtime cookery masterclasses run personally by celebrity chef and owner Mark Hix are as fun and boozy as they are informative.
