A lavender-scented footpath paves the way for a spectacular culinary fairy tale. Described as “a twist of imaginative genius”, Raymond Blanc's vision for Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons has always been one of world-class gastronomic flair and outstanding organic produce. Take your seat for a feast like no other.
What makes the dining experience unique at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, A Belmond Hotel ?
Belmond has a long history of excellence. The restaurant has earned 2 Michelin-stars upon opening, 39 years ago, and has retained them every year since. They are proud of their reputation as one of Britain's Finest restaurants and have become a must-visit dining experience for gourmands across the world.
My partner and I have been fortunate to have lunch at Le Manoir on a number of occasions and the reason we return each year is that the experience is superlative in every sense. This is a truly special place where the food is outstanding, the service immaculate and a walk in the lovely gardens provides a fantastic end to your visit. We always try to come in the summer, to give us the best chance of being able to explore the extensive ornamental and kitchen gardens. We visited on one Sunday recently and enjoyed the six course “les saveurs du Manoir” menu. My partner has certain dietary preferences (things he doesn't like rather than can't eat) - we had notified these when booking and he was well taken care of by small changes to the menu. Our six courses consisted of chilled gazpacho, confit of Cornish cod, garden vegetable and herb risotto, poached Cotswold chicken, Le Manoir's take on Peach Melba and raspberry and beetroot chocolate crumble. We both chose (for an additional charge) to substitute the peach dessert for choices from the a la carte menu. I had the famous le cafe creme - having seen it prepared by a contestant on Masterchef I'd been really longing to try it, and my partner had his favourite apricot and meringue combo in an edible cassoulet dish. In addition to this six course menu, the canapés and petit fours were exquisite and the range of bread offered is huge: the bacon rolls and mini baguettes are our favourites. Everything is clearly made with incredible attention to detail. Drinks-wise, I started with a Bellini, followed by a glass of Welsh Chardonnay (I had no idea there were vineyards in Wales) and a French rose. My partner had an Icelandic white ale. There is no hard-sell from the sommelier - order what you like. There is a specific table we like to request and we were again fortunate to be shown to it. All of the staff we met were courteous, gracious and friendly. What I particularly like about Le Manoir is the way all guests are welcomed and made to feel comfortable, whether they visit regularly or are there for the first time. The atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. Towards the end of our visit, we had a lovely conversation with one of the waiters about the lengths Raymond Blanc has gone to in sourcing his tea and coffee (the best coffee I've ever tasted). Sure, Le Manoir is a very expensive treat for most of us, but in my view, is worth every penny. It's not just a very nice lunch, it's a memorable event. With the quality of the cooking and the service, you can see where your money is spent. I cannot speak too highly of Le Manoir - we'll be back - and hopefully for an overnight stay next time. JRCMB

Absolutely amazing "My partner and I went for an overnight stay with dinner. From the moment we arrived the service was exemplary. You are made to feel so welcome, from the moment your bags are collected to the delicious goodies for your journey home. Our Garden Suite was exquisite, our walk amongst the gardens was so relaxing. We had a tour of the kitchen and everyone was so welcoming. Dinner was out of this world and we savoured every mouthful. The accompanying wine truly complimented the food. All finished with some amazing cocktails. We had coffee served in our room in the morning then headed over for a delicious breakfast. Everything was just perfect. Thank you to everyone working at the hotel. It really is an experience not to be missed." PhillyF

Outstanding!!!!! From the moment you turn your engine off until the time you drive away, you and your needs are treated with your complete satisfaction and operational excellence as the only outcome. My wife and I had the best time, best food and the best bath, courtesy of the double baths in the Botticelli room we've ever had. All the staff cannot do enough to help you and they are the true stars. Worth every penny to experience excellence in every possible aspect of staying overnight in a Hotel and having dinner. The breakfast is the best you'll ever have and if you don't wander around the gardens you'll miss a treat. Going to start saving for another visit and I can only say that this was outstanding!!!! Visited to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. 5 stars are simply not enough for the restaurant - the food was exquisite, beautifully prepared with very interesting flavour combinations; the wine flight accompanying the 7 course set menu was delicious ; the service was flawless, attentive but not intimidating and nothing was too much trouble to explain. The price is well justified bearing in mind the superb quality and attention to detail throughout. It certainly is well worth a visit and have no doubt, it will be an experience you will never forget! LsboroM

Stunning Hotel *Exceptional food *Service fantastic *Room - furnishings and style A great place to celebrate a romantic time, alternatively equally wonderful just to be there and be spoilt by their service and exquisite food. Relaxed environment, just a joy of a place to stay at. No snobbery just a great place for people to share their love and appreciation of great food. Bentley4

The food is just phenomenal, we had the taster menu which was delightfully light and full of taste. We added the cheese course and opted for our own choice of wine rather than the wine flight options. The staff are very knowledgeable and form part of the great dining experience that is Le Manoir. We shall return. PaulH

Fourth visit and we both thought this was the best yet. Lunch on a lovely summers day. Taster menu with wine flight. Food, wine and service were all fab. Walk around the beautiful gardens afterwards. Will be back for a fifth visit. By far our favorite place to eat. Expensive but worth every penny. B439ZQC
