Designed for Thomas Pain in the 1880s as a private residence, it subsequently enjoyed a rich and colourful past, with owners and visitors including the wealthy and the popular. Today it is a 68-bedroom, 4-star hotel perfect for christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements or just getting together with good friends for some fine dining.
