Overview

The Old Manse Hotel is a 1748 country inn built of Cotswold stone. It's set in the picture-postcard village of Bourton-on-the-Water, which is consistently ranked one of England's loveliest villages. The Old Manse is a truly delightful spot to get away from it all, with its fabulous setting, lovely terrace, and views of the peaceful River Windrush.

What food do you serve at Old Manse Hotel?

The Old Manse serves a full selection of pub favourites, as well as a distinctive real brew or glass of good wine, so you can unwind. Everything is freshly cooked at the restaurant, from sizzling steaks and scrumptious burgers to lighter snacks.

Tell us more about the rooms and facilities at Old Manse Hotel?

Each of The Old Manse's exquisite apartments has its own private bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities, a work desk, and a hairdryer are included in each room. Some of the rooms offer lovely period details and river views.

Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Bourton-on-the-Water area?

All year long, there is plenty to do in the village and the neighbouring Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Model Village, Birdland, Cotswold Motor Museum, and a slew of small independent stores and eateries are all within walking distance. Hidcote, Chastleton House and Gardens, Snowshill Manor, and Buscot Park are all National Trust locations worth seeing. Alternatively, take in the unfinished majesty of the Victorian Gothic Woodchester Mansion, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Cheltenham Regency is always worth a visit. Cheltenham Racecourse, the home of National Hunt racing, is only a 30-minute drive away. Visit Batsford Arboretum or Kiftsgate Gardens for magnificent vegetation. At Cotswold Wildlife Park, you can witness giraffes, rhinos, lemurs, and much more.
