Overview

A 12th-century coaching inn on the High Street of the stone village of Hindon in the West Wiltshire Downs, fifteen minutes from Stonehenge and twenty from Longleat. Eighteen rooms spread across the inn and a courtyard building, with original fireplaces, exposed brickwork and brushed brass fittings throughout. The Lamb has a long history with the shooting community: a fully secure gun room, dog showering facilities and boot drying racks make it a natural base for the West Wiltshire Downs season. Landlady Ellie runs an easy and welcoming house, with pétanque in the garden in summer.
