Northwich is located in the Cheshire Plain and is probably best known for its brine springs and salt which was first extracted by the Romans. Visit the Salt Museum located in the old Workhouse with its exhibits and displays of the mining and extraction process. Other attractions include the nearby Anderton Boat Lift and Arley Hall and Gardens.
