What is the history of Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) to the present day?
Thelma Hulbert Gallery is located in Elmfield House - a beautiful Georgian townhouse in the centre of Honiton. It was the home and studio of artist, Thelma Hulbert (Euston Road School), until 1995. In 1998, the first floor was opened as a public art gallery and it subsequently moved to encompass the whole building a few years later. The gallery is owned and managed by East Devon District Council and supported by Arts Council England.

There is a changing programme of contemporary art and craft exhibitions and a collection of work by artist, Thelma Hulbert. The gallery hosts monthly family art activities and workshops as well as adult workshops. Art sessions for under 5s are held monthly. Twice a year, the gallery celebrates the national Museums at Night festival, with after hours events.
