Six permanent collections include: paintings from the Golden age of Neopolitan art, Germanic paintings and sculpture (1450-1650), British Portraits including Reynolds and Tudor portraits, the most extensive collection of Chinese bronzes outside London, work by and objects that inspired textile designer Enid Marx and the largest collection of British Folk Art in the UK. There is also a world-class programme of changing exhibitions.
