Absolutely amazing! Can't wait to stay again! Stayed here for one night for our wedding anniversary in October 2023. I paid extra to upgrade the room to the penthouse suite as a surprise for my husband. Check in was very fast and efficient, the staff were friendly and answered all the questions that we had regarding the restaurant and the way to get into Llangollen. The room (Dee Valley Suite) was massive. Very clean, clean towels & bedding and drinks in the fridge (which we didn't realise were free). The bed was spacious and at the foot there were some french doors which opened onto a balcony containing a massive hot tub and a beautiful view over the Dee Valley. We didn't end up visiting the spa as the hot tub was too good to leave! We ate in the Glasshouse restaurant for our evening meal. The soup and steak were delicious. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. We also enjoyed a quick drink in the bar area, Wrexham Lager was very nice! It is a 5-10 minute walk along the river into Llangollen, there is a pathway next to the Aldi just opposite the hotel. Lovely souvenir shops, bakeries and pubs. The Cornmill is a must stop so you can enjoy the view of the river with a cold drink! Will be booking to stay again but for 2 nights this time! -(Source Trip Advisor)

Stunning hotel and amazing staff 5* service, amazing staff and management!! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, I bought my partner here for a little surprise birthday treat and what a fabulous stay it’s been. The hotel is fantastic, great facilities, lovely setting and very clean and tidy. But what definitely makes the stay is the wonderful staff. Thank you to everyone that made this stay so extra special, the lovely room you gave us, the birthday card for jo and the wonderful evening meal where we were looked after amazingly, a big thank to the chef for Jo’s special birthday cake 😊. It’s the little touches that make things special and you really made Jo’s day very special. Please pass on my thanks to Mel, all the staff in the restaurant last night and the Chef for a lovely stay. -(Source Trip Advisor)

Highly recommended Excellent hotel. We stayed in a standard double room with a French door leading to a patio. The room was extremely comfortable and clean - very comfy bed, a wall heater and underfloor heating in the roomy bathroom. Beautiful long blackout curtains. Elemis toiletries. The bar has a log fire and has a modern feel with an adjoining bright garden room. Short scenic walk into town along the river footpath. Highly recommended -(Source Trip Advisor)

Superb Second time in this hotel, the last being many years ago. The room was spacious, warm, and clean and the bed was wonderful. The evening meal was very nice, good menu selection. What impressed us the most was the staff, they are all immaculately presented, well-mannered and friendly. They turn a very good hotel into an excellent hotel, we will be going back. -(Source Trip Advisor)
