Overview

The Hide is the newest family and dog-friendly hotel addition to Chatsworth Escapes. Recently refurbished, this 25-room hotel is right at the entrance of the Peak District National Park. With British wool carpets and curtains throughout, art by Doreen Lowe, photographs by Gunther Walker (taken with his grandfather's 1932 camera), and handmade wooden stools by Tom Veryard, it's these small details that shine. Lady Burlington chose all of the artwork herself, which includes prints from books in the Chatsworth library. Mugs in the rooms are by David Mellor and filtered water is provided in monogrammed glass bottles. Spacious family rooms sleeping four are available, and dog-friendly rooms are on the ground floor. The Hide is a brilliant, affordable yet stylish hotel in the Peak District. There's a restaurant too which welcomes children and dogs, serving woodfired pizza and other firm favourites. If you're lucky, Kyle will be serving you with a healthy dose of smiles and humour!
