Britain's Finest in conversation with The Greenbank Hotel

What do you think makes a stay at The Greenbank Hotel unique?

The Greenbank Hotel is Falmouth's oldest hotel, dating back to 1640 when captains from The Packet Ships stayed between voyages. It is the only hotel in the south west with its own private pontoon, meaning pick-ups on the water right from their doorstep. Although it is the town's oldest hotel, everything inside oozes contemporary style, comfort and luxury. The Working Boat pub offers an additional dining option, established in 1876 and rebuilt in 2015. Enjoy delicious pub grub, Cornish brews and panoramic views across the picture-perfect harbour.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever had the privilege to stay at. The elegant decor of the rooms, spacious bathrooms and high-quality services are the prime attractions of this hotel. The waterside views from my room were simply stunning, I loved it! Location of the hotel is perfect and a big plus for me is the 10 minute walk to Falmouth town and 15 minute walk to the beaches. I dined in the restaurant a few times where the service and food were excellent, catering for every dietary requirement which was an absolute must for me. The friendly and professional staff were amazing. Thank you so much. I look forward to staying with you again very soon.

We had the most beautiful room with a view of the water and Flushing beyound. Breakfast was lovely - again with fabulous views - and the location was so convient to the town and all the restaurants and bars. Just next to the hotel is a little beach (when the tide is out) and lawn area to enjoy and let our dog exercise. We had a drink downstairs at the Working Boat which is more relaxed and dog friendly - highly recommend there to. All the staff we met were very professional, helpful and polite - without exception. We can't wait to go back....and would highly recommend it.

The Greenbank Hotel is situated in a great location, close to the town to enjoy an evening stroll through the quirky town, but out of the way enough to enjoy the quiet, taking in the stunning views. Rooms are modern, stylish and spotless. Plenty of facilities in the room to make yourself feel at home. Food and drinks choices are plentiful and tasty. Staff are pleasant, helpful and happy in their work. I really enjoy coming to the Greenbank, whether it be an afternoon tea, party/function or an overnight stay. 10/10!

This was a perfect romantic and charming weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We were well looked after by the professional and friendly staff with food and wine particularly excellent. We had a Seaview room which made our weekend perfect in every way. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we have already booked to stay at Christmas time.

Full marks to the staff at the Greenbank Hotel. Exceptional service and food. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that requires a peaceful stay in Falmouth. The staff will make sure you enjoy your stay. Breakfast is free, and you must try the Sunday lunch, we'll worth the money, and comfortable settees to let your meal settle

The Greenbank experience is a delightful pleasure. Reassuringly discreet and agreeable staff relax one instantly. Perfectly placed to enjoy Falmouth with local ferries providing efficient services to Fushing, St Mawes and Truro - superb walks nearby. We never tire of this. Dawn & Anthony
